*"The Melody" Writing Progress (May 1, 2013)

  •  2013 has been an up and down year for me so far but I will continue to head forward and write book #2, The Melody. The cover art for the novel is almost completed.

  • Had to move the website from the self-hosted Wordpress to Blogspot. Thus the different layout.

  •  Tour Update - Fifth Stop (May 20, 2012)

    • Today (May 19) was our final stop in our Citrus County Symphony of Words tour. We were happy to have an audience this time even though it looked like it was going to storm at any moment. The girls were a little bit wired but over all did rather well. This visit we had the most questions asked which made it even better. We're all looking forward to the rest and hopefully we'll be able to continue to get the word out about our novel.

  • Tour Update - Fourth Stop (Apr 22, 2012)

    • Today's (April 21) visit was to the Floral City Public Library in Floral City, Florida for our fourth stop. We only have one more stop on this tour which will be in May. The girls were still a little bummed about the third stop's turnout but I promised them if they stayed positive good things were bound to happen.
    • Eclectic Ends Hair Studio should probably create a special door sign just for us we stop by so much. As always excellent work on the the girls' hair.   
    • We had our largest turn out yet on this stop and lots of questions for the girls about the book, the series and what is was like being characters in a story. The girls handled themselves well and made me proud. Now we all get a little bit of a break. See you on May 19 at the Central Ridge Library in Beverly Hills, Florida as we do our last tour stop.

  • Tour Update - Third Stop (Apr 15, 2012)

    • Today (April 14) we traveled to the Coastal Region Public Library, in Crystal River, Florida to do our third tour stop. We were all ready for this one because the girls were no longer nervous about speaking in front of people which made me happy.
    • Thanks again to Eclectic Ends Hair Studio for doing the girls' hair.   
    • We went to the mall first to eat lunch and handed out fliers about our event. We made it to the library early and were ready to start on time. We were a little disappointed when no one turned out. The good news is we filmed the girls' first interview for my Kishaz Talks, youtube show. Stay tuned to this site to catch that visit

  • Tour Update - Second Stop (Apr 8, 2012)

    • Today (April 7) we traveled to the Homosassa Public Library, in Homosassa, Florida to do our second tour stop. We were all a little tired because dance class had run a little long on Friday night.   
    • The girls' hair was once again done by Eclectic Ends Hair Studio and this time the girls' awesome stylist, Niesha, experimented a bit with each element's hair style.   
    • We ran just a little late on getting to the library but we did have people show up. Thanks everyone who came to see us

  • Tour Update - First Stop (Mar 25, 2012) 

    • Today (March 24) was a long day but an interesting one for me and the girls. The first tour stop was at the Lakes Region Library in Inverness, Florida.   
    • It was the first major event they did and the hairstyles for each girl, provided by Eclectic Ends Hair Studio in Inverness, Florida were amazing.   
    • We had a nice turn out and had some brave souls pick up the book. Looking forward to hearing from them about it.

  • VA Tour Update (Mar 13, 2012)

    •  I was excited to visit my home state of Virginia and to return to Coeburn Middle School. Thanks to Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Teglas for allowing me to visit and share my new series with you and your students. I truly had a blast.   • The Tempo is now out! (Feb 29, 2012) 

    • I'm excited to announce that book 1 of the Elemental Symphony series, The Tempo, is now available. Be on the lookout for your chance to win a free autographed copy of the novel.

  • Final Tweeks(Feb 22, 2012) 

    • The final edits, layout and cover tweaks are being done to book #1. You'll be able to get your copy (paperback/ebook) on February 29. The girls and I are excited and we hope you are too.

  • Site Updates (Feb 14, 2012) 

    • Just finished updating the character profiles. See, spring cleaning is a good thing. The cover artist is going to include extra artwork that can only be found in the books. How neat is that? February 29, here we come!

  • Tour Dates Announced (Feb 4, 2012) 

    • The Symphony of Words Tour will kick off in Citrus County on March 24, 20 12. For a complete listing of the dates (more will hopefully be added as we go along), visit HERE.
